MS MONDRAKER IN LOURDES

This weekend held the first round of the World Cup and the MS Mondraker Team showed that it's on the right path.

After the Lourdes World Cup, which kicks off the championship, it's time to assess the results of the MS Mondraker in this demanding track. The results in the finals were not as expected but the team members are happy to see that they are heading in the right direction. The riders were unlucky on a very technical course, where a small mistake relegates you far from the top positions in the final standings.

Eleonora Farina

Eleonora Farina had a great qualifying session on Saturday, finishing in 5th position. The technical Italian rider of the MS Mondraker, whose second part of the run served to prove that she is one of the fastest riders, suffered a mishap at the start of the final round that took away any chance of getting on the podium. Despite this, thanks to her good performance level and competitiveness, she achieved a creditable 8th position. It should be noted that the stage times Eleonora achieved after the incident were almost identical to those of the first riders, so her performance promises that this season she will be fighting for the victory in the rest of the races.

Dave Trummer

As for the rest of the team riders, someone to highlight was David Trummer, who was making his World Cup debut with his new team. Finished fourteenth in Saturday's Qualys, the Austrian rider of the MS Mondraker managed to lower his personal time but wasn’t enough to keep the same result, finishing in the 18th position. Dave also pointed out that it was within what he expected considering that he's still adapting to his new team and his new bike.

Jacob Dickson

Next up for MS Mondraker at the Lourdes World Cup was Jacob Dickson. The Irish Champion crossed the finish line and spent some time on the hot seat. He ended up finishing 27th in the final standings. Brook Macdonald managed to finish in 41st position.

Toby Meek

Very good news for the weekend was to see Toby Meek showing great potential. The junior rider achieved a more than creditable 6th place in the junior men's category where competition is at its highest.

After this first World Cup in Lourdes, the next stop of the championship will be Fort Williams on the 21st-22nd of May, where we expect to see the debut of Tuhoto-Ariki. The New Zealander is one of the most promising riders on the international DH circuit and we're looking forward to seeing him in action, as well as seeing the rest of the MS Mondraker riders in top condition.
