Where did you grow up, and how has your hometown shaped who you are?

I grew up in a small village in the north of Italy in a province called South Tyrol. It is a beautiful area known for its impressive mountains; the Dolomites, with a strong food and wine culture. The region was once part of Austria which is why in the area German and Italian are both official languages. I actually grew up with German as my first language and learned Italian and English at school.

My family has a small wine and apple farm and I guess growing up on a farm being outside in the nature and in the mountains has had a big influence in the person I am today.

When did you first realise that mountain biking was more than just a hobby for you?

I came to the Downhill Sport a bit later than others. I was riding and racing XC from 12 years on until first year U23. When I started to study nursing I had to scale back on training for XC. I went Downhill riding for the first time and I loved it so much I went straight into some smaller Downhill races. I guess I was around 20 years old at that time. I got more and more serious with racing Downhill and after I finished my nursing degree I went full-time Pro in 2016.

Is there a specific musician, artist, athlete, or figure from pop culture that you deeply connect with? Why?

I like the style of artist Frida Kahlo. I’m not a mega fan or anything but her personality stands out. She was unapologetic and strong for what she stood for. Her message was clear: Be bold, be strong, and never apologise for who you are. I’m no artist myself but I like the message.

Are there any patterns, symbols, or cultural references that have personal significance to you?

I am a mountain girl so mountains have definitely significance for me!

Looking ahead, what’s one goal you have for your riding career or personal life?

I still feel the best is yet to come. On a good run I know I can be on the podium in 2025 and that’s the goal for now. In personal life I am pretty happy with how things are going. I have a family and good friends who stand by my side and I am happy and healthy I think that is the most important in life.
