Finally, an intense racing weekend awaits... On Friday the XCC Short Track finals, on Saturday the DH finals and on Sunday the XCO finals. It will be an important WC weekend, as both the PMG Racing Team and MS Mondraker Team will be with their complete rider lineup.
Important races every day, but if we have to spotlight a race, that would be the Sunday race. Bec McConnell is making history, not only for herself, PMG and Mondraker, but also in the World Cup itself. After winning the first three races of the 2022 season starting in Brazil, followed by Germany and the Czech Republic, a fourth straight victory for Bec would indeed add to the history already made.
The rest of the PMG Racing Team riders will also be in Austria fighting to achieve the best results possible. Jofre Cullell, who hopes to finally consolidate a good performance after showing his great abilities during different moments from the previous races; and Francesc Barber in U23, who wants to continue adding experience after some remarkable results in his last races.
After the race in Fort William three weeks ago, the MS Mondraker Team will try to fight together for good results. At Scotland the results weren't as expected, but Eleonora Farina managed to finish in the 4th position and stepped onto the podium on a very demanding weekend.
It was tough and conditions weren’t the best, resulting in Brook MacDonald and Tuhoto Ariki not qualifying for Sunday's final, due to both suffering from flat tires. They will want to prove they’re in good shape. On the same note Dave Trummer, who this past weekend became the Austrian National Champion regaining his title once more, feeling stronger than ever, will to try to continue with the streak of good results.
