The Swiss resort of LENZERHEIDE is hosting this weekend’s 2023 Downhill World Cup opener, and the MS Mondraker team will be there giving it their all on their Summum prototypes.
Brook Macdonald, Tuhoto Ariki, David Trummer, Toby Meek and Kilian Schnoeller will be sending it down the 2.5km track, affectionately called ‘The Straightline’, all of them aiming to get the season off to the best start possible. Disappointingly for everyone, Eleonora Farina will be watching from the side-lines with a broken collar bone.
This weekend Lenzerheide is opening the first of the 8 races which will make up the 2023 World Cup DH season. Starting in Lenzerheide, the series will then be moving on to Leogang, Val di Sole, Vallnord, Loudenvielle, Les Gets, Snowshoe, with Mont-Sainte-Anne wrapping things up in October.
It goes without saying that here at Mondraker we don’t believe in limits. But, sometimes there just has to be an exception to the rule! When starting a new project, we always have a plan, something specific we want to achieve, and we follow it through with passion, dedication and unlimited creativity. With the new CRAFTY CARBON UNLIMITED ELECTRIC BLUE, we had just one plan, to create 50 incredible, individual, exclusive bikes. So that’s what we’ve done.
The first round of the XC World Cup kicked off last weekend in Nové Město, in the Czech Republic with a wet and slippery track keeping the riders on their toes. The Primaflor-Mondraker-Genuins team didn’t get the start to the season they were looking for with a man down in the form of Ondrêj Cink, who unfortunately spent the whole weekend too unwell to compete. That left Bec Henderson to fight through an eventful race to take home an 8th place in Sunday’s XCO.
In DH everything boils down to a question of numbers. 0.2 seconds late on the brakes and you’re off the racing line. 10mm off the racing line and there’s no grip. 2 clicks more rebound damping and your suspension will start packing down. Keeping those numbers under control may mean the difference between the podium or the pits. If you like winning, or you just want to improve your riding, you’re in luck. Our MIND telemetry system is now available on the SUMMUM CARBON, because the winning numbers are the ones that count.
Some collaborations were only ever a matter of time. That’s the case with the collab between Mondraker and ALBEK, Australia’s most renowned bag brand. Both have very similar styles and philosophies in terms of a passion for quality and design with a focus on performance, resulting in one of the most attractive and functional series of bags and backpacks available this season.
Everyone chooses a different path for their MTB riding experiences. That might be riding a 100mm full suspension XC bike, or an enduro ebike, or perhaps a carbon trail bike like the RAZE CARBON. They’re all different ways of reaching the same goal: The “perfect” MTB experience.
The CRAFTY and CRAFTY CARBON are ebikes designed to turn your rides into something more than just route following on a GPS unit. A CRAFTY equals versatility and capability on whatever technical terrain you come across thanks to its 150mm rear wheel travel and a 160mm fork (170mm on the XR version) on the front.

Mondraker’s name is linked to enduro the same way the 2023 FOXY CARBON range is linked to our commitment and identity with enduro. It’s not easy for one model to sum up the best of a brand, but the history of the FOXY CARBON is one of evolution, flexibility and performance, and has been since the day it was launched in 2015.
KRYPTON is ONOFF’s range of carbon bars and CNC aluminium stems compatible with all forks currently available on the market, including triple crown forks
Monday sees you commuting to work. On Tuesday it’s dinner with friends. On Wednesday you do the shopping on the way home. On Thursday you pick your youngster up from Karate. On Friday you’re down the gym. On Saturday you go for a 60km ride and on Sunday you go for a spin with the family. The CHASER X range aren’t just bikes, they’re transport.
The ONOFF HELIUM series embodies everything you’re looking for in mountain bike components. Maximum performance to easily overcome the most technical XC terrain, exclusive aesthetics, the best materials, and of course the highest level of technology.
Introducing the 2023 range of Mondraker bikes, the best range in our company’s history. We’ve added an asterisk in the title to let you know that although 2023 offers the most complete and highest performing range of models we’ve ever created, it doesn’t mean that we’ll stop developing, innovating or building on what we’ve created over the past two decades. We are a brand known for producing high-quality and great riding machines that exceed rider expectations, and that’s something we’re going to keep delivering on, year after year.
For the second consecutive year Mondraker and Troy Lee Design have joined forces to create an exclusive collection for 2023. Both brands, with their racing DNA and the quality of their products at the forefront, launch a range consisting of a new full-face helmet and a pair of pants, as well as jerseys and gloves, matching perfectly with each other.
The weekend looked to be a crazy one, and so it was. Bec McConnell could make history for Mondraker and she certainly did. Second overall in XCO and XCC. What an achievement.

RICHARD GASPEROTTI: PICO DO FOGO ON AN EBIKE:
HOW TO CONQUER A VOLCANO AND MAKE IT BACK DOWN AGAIN
2,829 metres of volcano. Cape Verde. A Crafty. What Gaspi does with volcanoes is pretty unreal. Riding or hike-a-biking all the way up to the crater and then screaming back down to sea level, carving lines no one before had ever imagined.
