And in just two weeks, our first-ever podium for the Mondraker Factory Racing XC team. While the definition of a “podium” might be up for debate, every XC World Cup team knows that a Top 5 finish absolutely earns a spot up there.
The start of the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Brazil marked the official kick-off of the season for Mondraker Factory Racing XC. After two intense race weekends on the demanding tracks of Araxá, the team celebrates its first-ever World Cup podium in the elite Olympic Cross-Country (XCO) category. It’s a huge motivation boost heading into a season with 10 World Cup rounds ahead.
Under the leadership of Sergio Mantecón, the team showed a strong sense of unity and top-notch vibes across both riders and staff — a key factor in achieving these early, promising results.
“This has been a very special event. Not just for the results, but for the work ethic and commitment that drive us every day,” said Sergio after the second round.

Tamara’s 5th place in Araxá marks the team’s first-ever elite-level podium finish — and she earned it in spectacular fashion, clawing her way back from 33rd on the grid to finish inside the Top 5 in round two of the Brazilian double-header.
With the third round of the World Cup scheduled for May 23–25 in Nové Město, Czech Republic, the overall vibe within the team is buzzing with optimism. Tamara Wiedmann celebrated the best result of her pro career, bringing a fresh wave of motivation to the squad: “This is just the beginning of our journey. I’m already looking forward to the rest of the season.”
Sebastian Fini finished strong with solid legs and a tight sprint battle for a Top 15 spot, while Nadir Colledani admitted to regaining rhythm in the second round after a tough, unlucky start to his season.
Austrian powerhouse Mona Mitterwallner had a rough start due to a stomach virus, but her debut with Mondraker Factory Racing XC was, in her words, “an incredible experience.”
With the first rounds done and dusted, the team now shifts focus to the European block of the calendar. The experience gained in Brazil lays down a solid foundation to keep building through the upcoming races in Nové Město, Czech Republic (May 23–25), and Leogang, Austria (June 5–8).
