REBECCA HENDERSON REACHES THE PODIUM IN LAKE PLACID, USA.

WITH A FANTASTIC FIFTH PLACE TO ROUND OUT THE SEASON IN STYLE!

Clawing back

The Australian had a spectacular XCO race on the complicated Mount Van Hoevenberg track. After a hotly contested start Bec wasn’t even in the top 20, but with grit and determination she started clawing back positions, lap after lap, and even fought in the top 3 for a while before finally taking a well-earned 5th place.

Rebecca had this to say after the race:

“I’m stoked to be back on a World Cup podium! It’s been a tough year, or two if I’m honest, so it’s really welcome to see me fighting for the podium in XCO again. It’s been a great way to start the end of the season!”.

Ondrej Cink

The weekend also saw Ondrej Cink take 14th place in the XCO in a race that saw the first 20 riders finish within seconds of each other.

Bec’s 9th place in Saturday’s XCC race was enough for her to hold onto her 3rd place overall in the standings with just one race left to go from Mont-Saint-Anne this coming weekend.

There’s just one podium left to fight for this year!
