Benchmarks are passed as time goes by and keeping abreast of change implies embracing adaptation and evolution. The F-PODIUM has been reworked to keep setting benchmarks, both at grass-roots level as well as at World Cup events. More reactive overall while providing better acceleration and feedback from your very first pedal stroke, the F-PODIUM improves your performance whether you’re out training mid-week or racing at the weekend.

Five seasons have passed since the F-PODIUM first made a name for itself on the most technical World Cup Cross Country tracks in the world. Its wider tyres, longer travel suspension and other important factors such as its telescopic seatpost changed perceptions on what a World Cup level XC bike was, and what worked best at the highest level in XC competition.

Have proved that the F-PODIUM’s adaptability is a bonus, especially when the tracks are rough. Such tracks are becoming more prevalent at the highest levels of competition and the demands on bike and rider have been increasing almost yearly.

All of which is why we decided that now was the time to redesign the F-PODIUM from the ground up to better meet the demands of today’s (and tomorrow’s) ever more demanding Cross Country races. A new F-PODIUM which is once again forward looking, with optimised geometry, lighter weight and featuring an UPDATED ZERO SUSPENSION SYSTEM.

A NEW DESIGN LANGUAGE FOR OUR FRAMES

New F-PODIUM, new frame, new design. Sharing design cues with the recently released NEAT, the F-PODIUM’s updated design language is unmissable due mainly to straighter, more angular lines, a flattened, totally straight top tube, a more stylised and compact head tube and a shorter, more minimalist seat tube which allows for longer travel seatposts.  The downtube has markedly flat sides which take your eye seamlessly all the way from the headtube, past the bottom bracket and on to the chainstays.

FRAME WEIGHT OF UNDER 2KG

The redesigned and optimised UPDATED ZERO SUSPENSION SYSTEM helps create a more minimalist aesthetic with the rear shock sitting lower in the frame, a rear triangle which is far more compact compared to the original, smaller drop-outs and slender seat stays. 


This total redesign of the swingarm architecture provides a more rigid, stronger and tougher structure and contributes to an overall frame weight of under 2kg.

NEW KINEMATICS

The new F-PODIUM brings with it new kinematics via the UPDATED ZERO SUSPENSION SYSTEM recently presented at the launch of our new Light eMTB, the NEAT. The KINEMATICS follow the same principles as the original system but locate the shock lower in the frame, aiding the design of the new rear triangle which is in turn lighter, more compact and more rigid.

The shock (which is smaller and lighter than on previous iterations of the F-PODIUM) is angled obliquely in the frame and pivots directly on the swingarm.

The updated ZERO system is more reactive overall while providing better acceleration and feedback from your very first pedal stroke. Thanks to improvements in the kinematics the system offers greater compliance and better overall shock absorption.

The new F-PODIUM range does away with the “CARBON” and “DC” nomenclatures as all four builds use the same STEALTH AIR CARBON frame. All four builds use the UPDATED ZERO SUSPENSION SYSTEM providing 110mm rear travel, and come with 120mm forks. Available in S, M, L and XL sizes.


All 4 builds come with 3-position remote shock and fork lockout. 

The base build, the F-PODIUM, comes with a RockShox SID Luxe 3P fork with TwistLoc remote lockout, a RockShox SID Luxe 3P Remote in Pull DebonAir shock, SRAM GX Eagle chainset, SRAM Level T brakes, an ONOFF Sulfur 0-R seatpost and Maxxis Rekon Race 29x2.35” EXO tyres. Available in ‘Carbon - Carrera Blue - Navy Blue’.


The next build up is the F-PODIUM R, which comes with a Fox 34SC Performance 3P fork with a 3-position remote lockout, a Fox Float SL Performance SV EVOL shock, SRAM GX Eagle chainset, SRAM Level Bronze 2P Stealth brakes, an ONOFF Pija telescopic seatpost (125mm to 170mm travel depending on frame size) and Maxxis Rekon Race 29x2.4” EXO tyres. Available in ‘Bunker Grey - Flame Red - Vortex Grey’. 


The 3rd build, the F-PODIUM RR, has a Fox 34SC Factory 3P Kashima fork with 3-position remote lock-out, a Fox Float SL Factory Kashima SV EVOL shock, SRAM X01 Eagle chainset, SRAM Level Bronze 2P Stealth brakes, an ONOFF Pija telescopic seatpost (125mm to 170mm travel depending on frame size) and Maxxis Rekon Race 29x2.4” EXO tyres. Available in ‘Carbon - Chameleon - Racing Silver’. 


The top of the range build, the F-PODIUM RR SL, comes in the new race team livery of ‘Navy Blue - Marlin Blue - White - Flame Red’ and comes complete with a RockShox SID Luxe with 3 position TwistLoc remote, a RockShox SID Luxe Ultimate 3P Remote in Pull DebonAir shock, SRAM XX SL Eagle AXS T-Type chainset, a RockShox Reverb AXS seatpost (from 100mm to 170mm travel depending on frame size) and Maxxis Rekon Race 29x2.4” EXO tyres.
