ORIGINAL CRUSHER

Back in 2017 Mondraker lit a bonfire under the eMTB market with the world’s first full suspension, full carbon fibre framed eMTB with an integrated battery: The CRUSHER. The all-new CRUSHER brings the essence of one of our star bikes, the CRAFTY, to the table by using the same geometry and kinematics.

CRUSHER IS AIMED AT AGGRESSIVE ENDURO RIDING AND LONG DAYS IN THE SADDLE


The CRUSHER is an enduro bike with 29” wheels, 150mm of rear wheel travel complimented by a 160mm fork, Shimano’s EP801 motor and an integrated 720Wh battery. Featuring 2.6” tyres and forks with burly 38mm stanchions on all three builds.

THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS


The CRUSHER takes advantage of two of our class leading technologies. The front triangle is made from STEALTH AIR CARBON while the swingarm is fabricated from STEALTH ALLOY.

Focusing on the design brief: “A bike made for long days in the saddle on hardcore trails” we combined a carbon fibre front triangle offering light weight and material optimisation, with a burly aluminium rear triangle for added piece of mind. Designed to handle everything you can throw at it, and with Shimano’s motor doing shuttle duty, you won’t be wanting to head home anytime soon.  

The aesthetic of the CRUSHER follows the design language of the CRAFTY CARBON so that riders looking for a bike with a SHIMANO motor don’t have to make do with anything less than the looks of the CRAFTY and the effectiveness of the ZERO SUSPENSION SYSTEM.



EN600 DISPLAY AND A 720WH BATTERY

All three CRUSHER builds come with Shimano’s EN600 high-contrast full colour display which shows you which of the modes you’re using (ECO, TRAIL and BOOST for normal riding, or WALK mode if the trail becomes unrideable) as well as all of your settings menus etc. The modes can be switched between via a bar-mounted controller, located next to the handlebar grip, which also serves to scroll through the display menus when stationary and includes status lights to show your battery level and mode selected at a glance. 


All three builds come with the same 720Wh integrated battery, located in the downtube for optimal weight distribution.


EP801 MOTOR; FOR SHIMANO LOVERS EVERYWHERE

The CRUSHER offers up the latest generation of Shimano motors: the EP801. Providing 85Nm of power while weighing in at only 2.7Kg, it’s the lightest full power motor on the market today. The assistance is split between three different modes:  ECO, TRAIL and BOOST, each of which is configurable via Shimano’s Smartphone app: The E-TUBE PROJECT. The top of the range CRUSHER RR comes with an XT Di2 rear mech which also offers the option of FREE SHIFT (more on that later). 

CRUSHER RR: CHANGE GEAR WITHOUT PEDALLING

The top of the range build, the CRUSHER RR showcases one of the most revolutionary technologies to come from Shimano in recent years: FREE SHIFT (only available on bikes with the EP801 and the XT Di2 rear mech).


Thanks to FREE SHIFFT you can change gears without pedalling, by which we mean the motor drives the chain (rotating the chainring) without you turning the cranks, thus allowing the appropriate gear to be selected even when, for whatever reason, you can’t turn the cranks because of the terrain. It’s perfect for the times you can’t pedal at a certain point on the trail (there’s a big rock to negotiate) but you know that you need to be in a different gear for the next section of trail (a short sharp climb).

The new CRUSHER range comes in 3 builds, all of which use a STEALTH AIR CARBON and STEALTH ALLOY mix in their construction. All 3 have 150mm of rear wheel travel and 160mm forks with 38mm stanchions, 4 piston brakes with 200-203mm rotors and Maxxis Minion DHF/DHR II 2.6” EXO+ tyres.

The entry level build, the CRUSHER, has a Fox 38 29 Float FIT GRIP EVOL Performance fork, SRAM GX Eagle chainset, SRAM DB8 brakes, an ONOFF Pija dropper seatpost (with between 125mm - 200mm of travel depending on frame size) and Maxxis Minion DHF/DHR II 2.6” EXO+ tyres. Available in ‘Nimbus Grey - Vortex Grey - Bronze’.

CRUSHER R


The mid-range build, the CRUSHER R, has an Öhlins RXF 38 M.2 29 fork, SRAM X01 Eagle chainset, CODE Bronze Stealth brakes, an ONOFF Pija dropper seatpost (with between 125mm - 200mm of travel depending on frame size) and Maxxis Minion DHF/DHR II 2.6” EXO+ brakes. Available in ‘Denim Blue - Navy Blue - Racing Silver’.


THE TOP OF THE RANGE BUILD, THE CRUSHER RR

Is the only one with a Shimano XT Di2 chainset with ‘FREE SHIFT’. The CRUSHER RR has an Öhlins RXF 38 M.2 29 fork, a Shimano Deore XT Di2 chainset, Shimano Deore XT M8120 brakes, an ONOFF Pija dropper seatpost (with between 125mm - 200mm of travel depending on frame size) and Maxxis Minion DHF/DHR II 2.6” EXO+ tyres. Available in the spectacular ‘Translucent Red Carbon - Black - Racing Silver’ colourway.

THE WHOLE RANGE COMES COMPLETE WITH AN ONOFF COCKPIT


ONOFF has you covered for the cockpit on all 3 CRUSHER builds. All three have ONOFF FG 30mm stems, (a Sulfur on the CRUSHER, and a Krypton on the CRUSHER R and RR). The CRUSHER comes with a Sulfur 1.0 tapered 800mm handlebar, while the R build has a Krypton 1.0 800mm wide aluminium model and the RR build boasts an 800mm wide Krypton Carbon 1.0. All three builds come with ONOFF Desert 1lock-on 135mm grips.
