THE RENEWED MS MONDRAKER TEAM IN WORLD CUP ACTION

The first round of the DH World Cup 2022 is about to start in Lourdes and the MS Mondraker Team are ready for the season to begin with new riders and renewed drive.

MS Mondraker makes its debut this weekend at the first round of the 2022 World Cup in Lourdes, France. The circuit returns to the area after a 5-year absence and is once again the opening venue of the season. International riders will meet again at this technical track overlooking the French town where they will be fighting for the victory. It will be a race where the teams will measure their performance level and if the hard work during the preseason pays off.

After a solid '21 season and ‘22 pre-season with several tests, MS Mondraker renews itself and welcomes new riders with whom it will aspire to achieve top results at the UCI Championship and World Championships.

DAVID TRUMMER

The Austrian rider has been one of the brand-new signings of the team for 2022. Ranked in the Top 15 in almost all the World Cup races last season; he returns with renewed strength and the enthusiasm of being part of a great team like MS Mondraker. It's worth remembering that Trummer won the silver medal at the 2020 World Championship in Leogang and he finished 8th at the 2021 World Championship in Val di Sole.

David stands out for his good results and fine riding consistency.

BROOK MACDONALD

Brook remains one of the most charismatic riders for both the paddock and DH fans. His riding style is a big part of the reason, as well as his friendly personality. Brook, who in 2019 suffered a nasty crash at Mont-Sainte-Anne from which he was told he would never be able to walk again, not only made it back, but managed to become a top international rider again. He is certainly made of different stuff. The New Zealander has been in Europe for some time now, adapting and training to arrive at Lourdes with the best possible condition.

TUHOTO-ARIKI

The new addition of the New Zealander has created quite a stir in the paddock

as his signing for a top international team such as the MS Mondraker, promises that his progression will continue to be exponential. He is considered to be one of the most promising young DH riders and at only 20 years old, Tuhoto-Ariki has a brilliant career ahead of him. We hope that he adapts quickly and enjoys being alongside the great riders.

ELEONORA FARINA

The performances of the MS Mondraker Italian rider are becoming more and more consistent in recent seasons, with several podiums in the Elite Women's category where she has been consolidating the top 5 in almost every race. It's worth highlighting her second position in the 2021 Maribor World Cup and her two podiums also in Maribor in 2020, where two races were held back-to-back due to the atypical situation caused by the pandemic.

During the off season we’ve made some pretty big changes, but we’re coming into the season much stronger, more efficient and in a better place as a team than ever before, which will help us deliver results on the track."

These riders will line-up under the MS Mondraker team tent which will feature the Mondraker logo for an 11th season, as a main sponsor we couldn’t ask for more from them. We have a few new sponsors and bits of news still to finalise so stay tuned for further updates".

Unfortunately, after a crash in Portugal just a few weeks ago, we must announce that Tuhoto-Ariki will not be racing at the first round of the World Cup calendar. We'll have to wait... The rest of the MS Mondraker riders will be there delivering their best performance possible.

SUMMUM CARBON TEAM REPLICA

The whole MS Mondraker Team will race this year with the Summum Carbon Team Replica which we could see them riding in the last races of last season. They will continue with Fox suspensions, E*Thirteen wheels, Renthal handlebars and stems, Michelin tires among other sponsors, but as a new addition the whole team will race with Troy Lee Design racing gear except Brook who will continue with 100%.
