The new team hasn’t even been introduced yet (officially anyway) and we’ve already landed our first victory! The brand-new Mondraker Factory Racing XC team, which we’ll be formally introducing to the world in a couple of days, has already taken the podium at last weekend’s UCI C1 category race in La Nucía, Spain. Austrian powerhouse Tamara Wiedmann took first place, making the track her own and leaving the competition literally in the dust on the faster sections and the descents aboard her F-Podium RR SL.

TAMARA + F-PODIUM = THE WINNING COMBO

Tamara Wiedmann absolutely owned the race this last weekend in La Nucía! Not only did she take the lead on the very first lap, leaving the favourites to sort themselves out a brutal 30+ seconds behind her, but she absolutely destroyed every descent, proving the unbeatable synergy between her and her F-Podium RR SL. At just 23 years old, Tamara showed next-level skill and composure, taking on and beating seasoned competitors with World Cup podiums to their names.

What a way to start the season!

Here at Mondraker, we’re over the moon, not just with Tamara’s sensational win, but also with just how well the all-new team worked together. With only a few days of preseason preparation under their belts, they managed to dial the bikes in to perfection, and Team Manager Sergio Mantecón killed it, uniting strangers and making them a team in no time.

We haven’t forgotten the rest of the crew! Alex García crushed it with an 8th place finish in the U23 category, and Sebastian Fini matched that with an 8th place in Elite. These guys are turning it up to 11!
