IT’S GO TIME! MONDRAKER FACTORY RACING XC

WE’RE TURNING UP THE HEAT WITH TWO FACTORY SQUADS: DH AND XC.

If you know anything about our history, you’ll know we’ve always been about pushing our tech to the limit through racing. While downhill has brought us the majority of our accolades in terms of podiums and technological revolutions, cross country’s not been far behind. In fact, we got our first XCO podium in Brazil in 2022 thanks to Bec Henderson and the folk at Primaflor-Mondraker.

Since 2017, we’ve been an integral part of XCO and XCC racing at the highest level. Through all the evolutions of the F-Podium, we’ve been able to compete and fight for the win in multiple World Cup seasons. Now, it’s time to bring out the bigger “Factory” guns and go all-in with our new factory team: the Mondraker Factory XC Team.

EXPERIENCE AND MOTIVATION ARE KEY

Sergio Mantecón for Team Manager

To better handle our second Factory project in just over a year, we’re counting on pro racer Sergio Mantecón for Team Manager. After 20 years of racing at the highest level, Sergio’s results speak for themselves: 3 World Cup podiums, 8 Spanish Mountain Bike Championships, and even a spot at the 2012 London Olympics. Sergio knows what it takes to compete against the best in the world. That kind of experience is going to be crucial for managing a team of 8 technical staff and 5 riders who bring a mix of experience, titles, and a team-truck load of motivation.

Sergio shares his thoughts on joining the MFR XC team:

“Personally, I’m super excited to join the Mondraker family. Like me, they’ve got competition in their DNA, and it’s an honour to have the chance to build up this project from the very start. It’s a serious challenge, but I’m up for bringing everything I’ve learned over the last 20 years of racing to bear. We’re going to do everything humanly possible to make this team a global contender. We’ve put together an amazing group of people—both on the human and professional side—and we’ve got all the tools we need to make it happen.”

TO THE WORLD CUP WITH F-PODIUM

The F-Podium has been our go-to bike at the World Cup for the last few years, thanks in part to its constant evolution. The F-Podium features a frame made of STEALTH AIR CARBON with 110mm of travel, paired with the UPDATED ZERO SUSPENSION SYSTEM and a 120mm travel fork.

The bike that all the MFR XC riders will be taking to battle this year is based on the top-tier RR SL build, customized with components from the team’s main sponsors such as SRAM, RockShox, Mavic, Maxxis, and ONOFF. The F-Podium counts on our latest design language, with the super compact rear triangle and optimized geometry to dominate any and all types of course.

Committing to two Factory teams in just two years is quite a challenge, but we’ve got the full backing of the Mondraker HQ in Elche.
