Double podium for MS Mondraker in Maribor!

Just before the World Championship in Val di Sole, MS Mondraker achieved the best results of the season. Both Eleonora Farina and Laurie Greenland got on the podium, which will be really good with the World Championship in their minds.

This weekend was the last round of the World Cup before the World Championship in Val di Sole, which will be held in two weeks. The results obtained by MS Mondraker in Maribor suggest that they have options to get good results in the Italian town that brings so many good memories to Mondraker, getting to be World Champions in 2016.

Women's Final

On a circuit that Eleonora Farina is very good at (last season she was on the podium in both races held in Maribor), on Saturday she managed to qualify in fourth position. Sunday was nice and sunny with a very dry and dusty track, characteristics that suit the Italian very well, as she proved. So, when she crossed the finish line, she was in first position with only three riders left. Fortunately for her, only Miriam Nicole was able to snatch the best time, leaving her in a well-deserved second position. It was a good weekend for the Italian who is finally collecting the rewards of the good season she is having.

Men's Final

Also, in the men's final, MS Mondraker was on the podium, in this case on the third step. On Saturday qualifying, Laurie Greenland took a creditable third place. And curiously that was exactly the position he achieved on Sunday in the final. In fact, the top four riders were the same and finished in the same position as Saturday's qualifiers.

On the other hand, Brook MacDonald was 15th while Laly Thibault was 29th.

Undoubtedly, very positive results in order to gain confidence to face the World Cup in Val di Sole with really high hopes.
