The last World Cup round in Val di Sole will decide the overall winners. Bec McConnell of the PMG Racing Team could become the overall winner of the women's XCO World Cup. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

After the World Championships in Les Gets, the last and final round of the World Cup will determine the winners of all disciplines. For the riders of the PMG Racing Team and MS Mondraker Team this will be their opportunity to finish the season with a good result, and even more so for Bec McConnell. Second in the overall standings, she has the chance to win the 2022 XCO World Cup. It won't be easy.

PMG RACING TEAM

This last race will be more important than ever for the Mondraker cross-country team. After having achieved spectacular results during the 2022 season so far with Bec McConnell, the Australian's chances to win the overall XCO championship are still unscathed, with 64 points between her and the first placed Anne Terpstra. Admittedly, and in her own words, she is not at her best at this stage of the season and it will be difficult, but nevertheless, her chances are still there. Regardless of the outcome, McConnell's season has been spectacular and she is still number one in the UCI rankings. Let's see what happens in the end.

Jofre Cullell, who returns to compete in the World Cup after missing the last two North American events, and Francesc Barber will also take part in the Italian round. The young rider from Menorca will complete a very positive year in terms of experience and further learning which will surely help him in the near future.

MS MONDRAKER

The MS Mondraker Team is looking forward to this last round of the World Cup to prove that they are still a top team. Although the season has been inconsistent due to injuries, punctures, crashes and also an adaptation period for both Dave Trummer and Tuhoto-Ariki, they want to brush off the bad luck and have a strong end to the season. Unfortunately, Tuhoto-Ariki will not be competing after the fractured wrist which he suffered at the World Championships in Les Gets.

Eleonora Farina, who has 4 podiums in the 2022 World Cup season, will once again prove that she is among the best riders in the world and will fight to maintain her 4th place in the overall standings. On the other hand, the Austrian Dave Trummer will try to show his consistency with a top 10 that would serve him to finish the season in the top 15 in the overall standings. Finally, Brook MacDonald will also try to have a good weekend in order to finish the World Cup season with a positive feeling.
