TUHOTO-ARIKI AND TOBY MEEK NEW ZEALAND RUNNERS-UP

This weekend the New Zealand DH National Championships were held and both Tuhoto-Ariki and Toby Meek finished in second place in their respective categories.

Still in the middle of the MS Mondraker Team preseason, two of its riders are already in the thick of the competition. Tuhoto-Ariki and Toby Meek raced this past weekend at the New Zealand National Championships respectively in Elite and Junior categories. Notably absent was Brook MacDonald, who is already in Europe preparing for the first race of the World Cup in Lourdes.
TUHOTO-ARIKI

After claiming overall victory in the National Series last week, Tuhoto-Ariki was the main frontrunner to win the National Champion medal. With all eyes on the new young rider from the MS Mondraker Team, he finally managed to take second place on the podium behind George Brannigan, crossing the finish line just 2 seconds behind him. After this result, Tuhoto-Ariki highlighted that nevertheless he was also happy because the performance level was very high, and any small mistake could leave you off the podium.

TOBY MEEK

Furthermore, Toby Meek, also finished second in the Junior category (eighth scratch) demonstrating his huge potential at only 17 years of age.

With these good results both will continue their preparations for the season that will start in less than a month's time.
