This weekend we had a double date for our PMX Racing riders and both races were a success. Congratulations team!
A good test before starting the World Cup for Jofre Cullell was in Haiming, Austria, where he would measure himself against his direct rivals in the U23 category. And it couldn't have gone better because he got the victory, his first international win of the season.
After a first few laps in which he struggled to get into a good rhythm, he took distance to the rest of the racers together with the European Champion Joel Roth and the German List. On the final lap, and in the circuit harder zone with a long and steep climb, he was able to open up a large enough gap to reach the finish line alone, thus achieving this prestigious victory. Jofre said he was "very satisfied. The first few laps were hard for me, it was difficult, as I had been training quite hard for two or three weeks without racing. I felt a lack of rhythm but I knew how to suffer and little by little I found a better feeling. With two laps to go I got away with the European Champion, Joel Roth, and we put everything on the line on the last climb. I was able to enter first on the final downhill, open a gap and take the victory".
In this way, Jofre proves to be in a perfect shape to start the most important races of the season with the Albstadt World Cup on May 8 as a goal.
