The competition returns to Slovenia, where in 2020 and after two races Eleonora managed to finish 4th in the first round and 3rd in the second, no doubt Maribor is undoubtedly a good place for the Italian. Laurie was unable to race in 2020 due to injury sustained in a World Cup qualifying accident (a dislocated thumb and torn ligaments that needed surgery) and Brook finished 23rd, improving all the time after his return from injury.
Last weekend the European Championship took place where Eleonora and Vincent completed a very successful week of racing at the Bike Park in Maribor with a 2nd place in the elite female category and a 4th place in the under-17 category.
It is a short, fast, and technical circuit, less than 2 km long with a descent of rocks and good jumps. It's a place where the team believes they can do great things, and where everyone has had some good results outside of the World Cup.
