Motorcycle World champions Marc and Alex Márquez join Mondraker
Two huge names from the world of motorcycling are the latest riders to join the Mondraker family.
With an incredible ten World Championship titles between them, the Márquez brothers, Marc and Alex, have chosen to ride Mondraker bikes as a key part of the physical conditioning regime required to reach championship winning form.
Whatever they’re riding, Marc and Alex demand machines that won’t hold them back, so with our range of podium-proven bikes, it was a simple decision to team up with Mondraker. To enable them to take their mountain bike training to the next level, we have armed the two brothers from Cervera with a pair of unique F-Podium RRs that have been exclusively customized just for them.
Marc is World Champion in three categories – 125cc, Moto2 and MotoGP – and is the youngest rider ever to win the overall victory in MotoGP. To mark the identity of this champion, his fully customized F-Podium RR is decked out in the colors and design from his motorcycle helmet and features his iconic race number – 93.
Marc and Alex will use their F-Podium RRs for their aerobic training during pre-season and the weeks outside of race season. Their fellow team members will also ride F-Podium bikes to help make each training session more effective, more analytical and more fun – something that is a key part of the Márquez philosophy.
While the brothers are champions in the world of motorcycling, they are incredibly skilled on two wheels of any kind. Should they ever decide to turn their focus to competitive cycling, we’re in no doubt that they could make names for themselves here too.
Three years younger than Marc, Alex was Moto3 World Champion in 2014 and Moto2 World Champion in 2019. His Mondraker F-Podium RR comes in his trademark blue colors and features his race number – 73.
Marc and Alex received their customized Mondraker F-Podium RR from Miguel Pina (Mondraker CEO) and Yuriy Tomas (Mondraker Marketing Director), who travelled to Cervera to present the bikes to the brothers in person.
Both Marc and Alex were blown away by their new bikes and their stunning bespoke aesthetics.
Marc was very happy with his new bike and comments: "Unfortunately I haven't been able to test it yet because of the injury, but aesthetically it is spectacular. The shapes of the tubes give a unique personality to the F-Podium and it is really beautiful. We're going to enjoy it a lot.”.
Alex was very happy: "I felt great on the Mondraker F-Podium RR. It's a very light bike and feels very agile. I can also say that it's fun and I would highlight the suspension it has. It's a bike that's a pleasure to ride".
"We are proud that both Marc and Alex will be riding our bikes. Mondraker's DNA and especially the F-Podium RR is racing and efficiency at the highest level, so we hope it will be a good tool for their training. We are sure they will enjoy it as much as we enjoy watching them win Grand Prix races".
A key part in Marc and Alex's successes are their personal assistants and each of them will be riding their own customized F-Podiums too. While the paint jobs are more subtle than those of the Márquez brothers’ bikes, they have details that link them to each of the racers. Marc's assistant is be on a bike with with red colored detailing, while Alex's assistant rides an F-Podium in a matching blue colorway.
It is an honor that Marc and Alex have joined the Mondraker family and chosen race models from the F-Podium range. Their rigorous mountain bike training regime requires race-proven bikes of the highest caliber – which makes the Mondraker F-Podium RR the perfect choice.
We’re hugely excited to see the Márquez brothers preparing for the new race season on our bikes and look forward to them showing that not only are they the fastest motorcycle riders on the planet but are both exceptional mountain bikers too.
