After two weeks in a row of the different XCC Short Track and XCO events (in which the PMG Racing Team together with Bec McConnell won all the XCO races held so far, making history) it's now time for DH. The MS Mondraker Team will be racing the second round of the DH World Cup in Fort William, Scotland.
The first round of the DH World Cup was almost two months ago in Lourdes, France. There we could see for the first time in this 2022 all the MS Mondraker Team riders together ready to race. And although one of the new team signings, Tuhoto Ariki, couldn't race because of an injury suffered a week before in Portugal, Fort William will be finally the official debut for the team, with all the riders in action. Finally, we will be able to see the young international DH talent competing against the best riders.
In Lourdes, Eleonora Farina had an outstanding performance in the qualifying round, finishing in 5th position. In the final and suffering from a strong pain in her hand after a crash, she crossed the finish line in a valuable 8th position given the circumstances. We hope that this weekend she doesn’t suffer any major problems and can measure herself against her opponents in top condition.
In the men's final classification, David Trummer was the best performing rider for the MS Mondraker Team, finishing 18th. This was his debut for the team so we hope that these weeks have served as better adaptation time, and he can race this weekend with better luck.
Jacob Dickson, Irish Champion, finished in an excellent 27th position, which considering his young age, we predict a promising future that we hope will be reflected with a good result in this second round of the World Cup 2022.
The always spectacular and charismatic Brook MacDonald, set a time that made him qualify in 41st position. The New Zealander has been training hard during these weeks to improve his performance in Scotland. Looking forward to seeing him in action.
