Les Gets was an important date for the PMX Racing riders. In just 20 days we will enjoy the most important event in the last 4 years: the Olympic Games in Tokyo. The MS Mondraker Team went to the second round of the DH World Cup. In both cases, the heavy rain clearly conditioned both races.

PMX Racing Team

As it happens in every XC World Cup races, the races started on Friday with the explosive Short Track. Important to get a good starting position for Sunday's XCO race, Bec qualified 17^th, Jofre Cullell 30^th and Dan McConnell 35^th.

Sunday dawned with a heavy rain that didn't stop during all day. Although Bec started in 17^th position, she was in the leading group from the start. She was riding in second position for part of the race and finally crossed the finish line in 5^th position, which meant that she was back on the podium for the third time this season. With this final position, Bec is in 5^th place overall.

On the other hand, in the men's race Jofre Cullell was 33^rd, while Dan reached the finish line in 67^th position.

MS Mondraker Team

As in the XCO races on Sunday, the DH races were clearly marked by rain. After Friday's qualifiers, where Laurie Greenland had a nasty crash, the MS Mondraker Team riders had hopes of a good race.

The first turn went to Eleonora Farina, who got a good 6^th position, just a few hundredths of a second away from the podium. A pity...

In the men's race, Laly Thibault was the only one to go down in not too bad weather conditions. Things got clearly complicated for the second half of the race where the rain intensified and changed the conditions of the circuit where only the constant improvisation meant that you could stay on the bike. Laly managed to finish in the best position (24^th), followed by Laurie Greenland (26^th) and Brook MacDonald (39^th), who, under a huge rain, made a spectacular descent.

With the Les Gets World Cup over, the Olympic Games in Tokyo is the next and most important challenge for PMX Racing Team on the 26^th and 27^th of July. On the other hand, the next event for the MS Mondraker Team will be in Maribor (Slovenia), in the 3rd round of the DH World Cup, on August 14^th and 15^th.
